Veneers
Veneers are thin laminates of tooth coloured ceramic (porcelain). They are bonded onto the front surface of teeth to brighten and rejuvenate a smile.
They have a dramatic, immediate and pleasing impact on the appearance.
Veneers are used to improve the appearance of damaged or discoloured teeth, close the gaps between spaced teeth, improve the proportions of teeth that may be too long or too wide and build up worn down teeth.
What’s involved in creating a beautiful smile?
After the initial consultation when you discuss your interests and concerns, impressions are made of you teeth. The laboratory, Knight Dental Design Ltd, then design your smile on stone models, based on your requirements. The anticipated final result, showing your new smile, is discussed with you.
Your teeth will then be prepared and reshaped to allow them to accommodate the veneers. Impressions are made and temporary veneers created to cover the teeth while your customised ceramic veneers are individually crafted. Importantly this gives you the opportunity to trial the planned smile. Any fine adjustments can be made and reproduced in the final veneers.
At the next appointment the ceramic veneers are tried in and shown to you. The veneers are cemented to the teeth. Final adjustments, if necessary, are then made to them.
Testimonial
"I had an initial consultation to decide what treatment I would like and what was required. I received a detailed statement of the costs incurred before any work was commenced. The treatment, stretching over a number of weeks in a very relaxed atmosphere, was professional, caring and importantly pain free.
My teeth now look exactly as they did 15 years ago and I am delighted with my new smile. Thank you
very much Andrew."
